Hi, I'm hoping to do a year of travelling Australia starting in Sydney on the 16th December. Been looking at OzIntro for the first week then hoping to stay in Sydney for Christmas & New Year. I know hostels are getting booked up fast so going to book something this week - any advice on where to stay?

I'd agree with tom, book as soon as you can. Hostels sell out real quick over xmas and new year and they tend to put the prices up as well. I'm landing in Sydney on the 6th January and staying at wake up, looks like a pretty cool place and it has it's own bar.. How long are you both in Sydney for?
