Im hopefully heading over to Sydney in March 2014 and plan to travel up the east coast.
How far have you got with your plans?

Well I looked at the cost, for a week for example for a car to rent.. it comes in at about $360 Oz Dollars, which is relatiely cheap I think. I have a full driving licence so that wouldnt be a problem for me. Looking through the routes, start off in Sydney and head up the east coast, stop over nights at places along the way and just be spontaneus really.
There are some beautiful places along the way so I was thinking about a week at least really, then head back to Sydney and look at finding a job after a week, two, three maybe. How are your plans going? :D It'll be a blast

My girlfriend and I arrive in Melbourne on 6th February we have booked 2 weeks accommodation to start with
We want to travel up the east coast, I think it will be amazing and some of the sights as you said should be incredible to see
We will be looking for work along the way, hopefully do fruit picking, or any agricultural work we can find
I can't wait to get out there
Would be great to meet up with like minded people when we get out there

Hi Morgan,
That would be awesome! I dont think I want to work straight away, I think a little vacation is in order but with us being both on the east coast at the same time, It would be awesome to meet up and hang out with other travellers. I love how traevl can bring together like minded people and have lots of stories to tell as im sure you do too! :D

Oh yeah, a vacation is in order for a few weeks/months hehe
By leaving in February means I can save a bit more cash, so working straight away won't be urgent
The idea that you can meet all sorts of different people in the same boat as you that you wouldn't usually have anything to do with appeals to me.
Keep in touch, will def. try and meet up when we're both out there!

I fly into Sydney on 13th Feb and wanted to travel up the east coast before starting work so this sounds great! When are you thinking of going, will you still be in Sydney when I arrive?
