Bali has lots of events in Christmas and New Year at various places. Firework will be shot + 30 minutes at Kuta Beach, we can watch it on the beach for free!
Bali is an over commecialised DUMP. Go somewhere else.

Maybe for New Year event is the best places is Kuta .
But if you want enjoy Bali, many places you can visit :

Dreamland beach [near Bali Pecatu Graha],
Uluwatu [best places for pre-wedding photo spot],
Lovina beach [north Bali],
Bedugul Lake [Tabanan],
Benoa [Surfing spot, underwater also good],
Ubud and Many more.
Hi, Bali is one of the most interesting places. I love the hustle and bustle of it all. Staying at Kuta which has everything around you. Restaurants, shopping, beach, Legian St (night clubs and bars), Kuta Square. You can see firework at Kuta beach
Well its too short notice to go to Bali, M not very sure if you will get quality accommodation since it being christmas and new year....People make booking in advance 3-5 months before they go..

Bali is good fun for holidays all year round, it's even more festive during the year end. With Christmas and New Years, you'll be with the crowd no matter where you go.
Take note when booking hotels. Most will try and rope you in for a compulsory Christmas and/or New Year's Dinner with an additional cost. Make sure you check beforehand.
All other clubs and restaurants will have their own countdown parties so be prepared to pay a slight entrance fee and be ready to party with the rest of the crowd!
The best club would be: Ku De Ta on Seminyak. It's the trendiest beach side club in Bali with great House/techno/electronic/trance music. Others to look out for would be La Vita Loca or Q Bar.
If you want something in town: EmBargo is usually the place to go or the Bounty.
Drinks: Range from cheap to expensive. It depends what you drink and where you go. Imported drinks/beers are, as per usual slightly more expensive.
Bali is amazing!
I would recommend staying in Seminyak or Legian. It is not as busy as Kuta, but there is plenty to do right around the area. Kuta has a tendency to be cheaper and a bit wild. Some travelers find it a bit disgusting after a while. Areas like Jimbarran Bay and further south, although nice, can be a bit boring and isolated.
A great way to stay in Bali is to rent a private villa. You can find some that are not that expensive and they offer a nice refuge from the hustle and bustle.
There are lots of amazing restaurants in that area that would be worth a try- Gado Gado, Slippery Stone, Mama San, Sea Circus, Potato Head, La Lucciola and the list goes on.
Potato Head, KuDeTa and Cocoon would be great places to spend New Years.
Prepare yourself that it is now the rainy season in Bali. The weather can be a little less than perfect. It doesn't rain all day everyday, but it can be a bit cloudy at times.
