Almost four days ago I published a series of entries and they still have not appeared on my Feedly RSS reader. Whose fault is it, Feedly or TP?
If you mean the most recently published entries titled WHC List..., these entries have had their posting date changed to 1985.
Editing the date for describes travel from does not affect the publishing but my understanding is that any entries that have a posted date prior to the current date will not show in an RSS feed.
You can see the feed of current posts here: .
On the 31 august I published a string of eight WHC List.. entries as well as in a series from Portugal. None of them appears in Feedburner or Feedly. The WHC List entries are numerous on my blog, and to sort them properly in the table of contents list I have given them posting dates in 1985 irrespective of when they are actually posted.
I'm not so sure about your technical observation. Almost all my postings "have a posted date prior to the current date". I habitually use a posting date similar to the end of visit date ("describes travel .. until) , again to get my TOC correct and easy to read.
Of the last two entries showing up in Feedburner, these are the actual posting dates, the registered posting dates in TP, and the dates according to Feedburner:
"Portugal 2013 (1) - The Plan".
Actual posting date: 02.08.2013; forced TP posting date 02.07.2013 (The date I registered as posting time on TP to get my own records straight); Feedburner's erroneous posting date 27.08.2013
"Portugal 2013 (2) - Lisboa (Lisbon) and Sintra":
Actual posting date: 03.08.2013; forced TP posting date 04.07.2013; Feedburner: 27.08.2013
As you see there is a more than three weeks lag from my actual posting date till Feedburner finds it. Why is it so?
Let me add another example where Feedburner got things straight, leaving my wondering about the logic of it all...
WHC List #1427 - Mount Etna: Actual posting date: 22.06.2013, forced TP posting date 02.01.1985; Feedburner: 22.06.2013.

Those WHC ones should show in the feed despite having older posting dates. The critical one is the publish date which for all these entries is the 31st of August. So yes, they should be showing. What it's been showing you though is a cached view. It wasn't refreshing this like it should have at all. I've just put up a fix to sort that out now.
Now it's in Feedburner's cache which is something they control, but when that refreshes it should go through to Feedly pretty quickly.
That's it! Feedly is updated as well. Thanks. It may seem you have a cache issue, as this is not the first time my posts get stuck somewhere in between the feed providers.
One more question though, a bit on the side:
Feedly, and previously Google Reader, does not seem to show pictures from my TP feeds. Other TP blogs I subscribe to come with nice illustrations... Is there something I have overlooked?

I know the main issue is resolved, but FWIW, the reason these two entries show the 27th of August on feedburner is because you published an update to them on that date (currently both show their date as the 31st, even). The actual feed (if you ) contains a publication date of 2013-08-02T21:43:24Z and 2013-08-03T12:47:43Z respectively. Different feed readers take the update date or the publication date as the date they show to the reader; that's not something we can control.

Your blog is set to just include a snippet in the feeds. If you go into your blog settings and set it to include the full entry, then it will also include all the images and so on.
What defines a snippet? I believe it includes the first xx characters, but what if the image link is included there. Do you have the definition?
The reason I ask is that I have been reluctant of including the full blog for RSS readers, for I want readers to come and enjoy more of my wonderful travel blog (!). On the other hand a good image along with a few introductory words increases the likelyhood of making that extra click.
The snippet is built from the first ~560 characters of the post. It strips all formatting out to avoid the code being caught halfway between the cutoff. Otherwise you'd end up with an [img=xxx without the closing part potentially. Ideally I guess we'd have an option to create a manual snippet which could also be used on the category pages to show the entry rather than the entire entry.
Sooooo, perhaps we have a candidate in the next round of TP development projects?
Thanks again.
