I'll give you one tip -
To get to San Diego, I recommend catching the train down from LA when you (invariably) fly into there. The train passes some beautiful scenery and is a really relaxing way of making the journey. There is a cheap and regular bus service to the train station from LAX.
It's an interesting choice of destinations you have there. Is there any reason for those particular stops? How long are you in San Diego for?

One of the reason was to visit both coasts of the US and another was to make an around the world trip without much money.
Its just plane hopping, i know.
