Travel insurance? :)

Hi guys. I'm going to oz on a whv for up to a year. I'm really excited but need to get my travel insurance sorted. Can anyone recommend me one? Any advice much appreciated. How much roughly do people spend? Thanks in advance

Hi Jenny,

Generally the cost of travel insurance differs depending on your country of residence, which countries you are travelling to—for example if you swing by Asia on your way to Australia—and the length of the policy.

Not sure when you're heading off but TP actually partners with World Nomads and their flexibility means you can organise insurance even when you're already travelling. There's more info . As an example, a 12 month World Nomads policy for UK residents that includes Asia would be around £540 and that covers activities like bungee jumping. If you don't need coverage in Asia it is a bit less.

For shorter trips I have often bought bundled insurance with my flights, though never bothered to compare the costs or coverage to what other companies offer—the price of convenience! Lol Have you paid for your flights yet?
