Hello everyone
Hi Natalie
You can definitely get hold of asthma inhalers in New Zealand but I think you'll need to visit a GP here and get a prescription. We have Ventolin, a generic salbutamol inhaler, Flexitide (the orange one) and I'm sure there are green ones and purple ones too.
Sounds like an epic trip - enjoy!
Natalie, what does a years worth of inhalers translate into in terms of how many devices you actually require? It sounds like a lot, correct? (I don't now what, "... three inhalers twice a day every day..." actually means.)
Sounds like a fabulous trip.
Cheers,
Terry

Can I buy them in south east Asia?
A years worth would be around 20 inhalers!!
In Thailand and Malaysia, you shouldn't have a problem finding meds without a prescription. And if you need one, visiting a doctor there shouldn't be a problem.
Also, if you tell your doctor of your travel plans, he/she might be more willing to provide refill prescriptions for the year. That should at least cover you in Europe and NZ.
