Hi
Why don't you start by researching some round the world travel agents and see what they can offer you. There's some crazy interesting deals out there that might offer some itinerary suggestions.
Have fun with your research.
Cheers,
Terry
If I was doing this trip, I would have been looking to start early December.
The idea of a RTW ticket is that you continue travelling in roughly one direction. There can be overland sections and you can book side trips separately.
Phone a number of agencies as ticket prices can vary. Some operators are very knowledgeable and can help you decide on what to do. If you are in the UK, pick up the Daily Mail for Saturday or Sunday, as they have travel sections with plenty of phone numbers for RTW tickets.
Cape Town which is way out of the way is not doable with that ticket and may even be cheaper as a separate trip some other time. That would make your schedule better for getting back in November.
India probably deserves more as there is so much to see. Bali is a tourist trap. Belize is a dump. Cape Town is potentially dangerous, with lots of gun crime there.
Do consider travel insurance. The basic is not that expensive for a year but you have to be 100% honest with them or they will not pay out if worse comes to worse.
