Hi,
Joining a tour would be a better option. One of my friends recently visited India and the places she visited were:
New Delhi
Jaipur (Rajasthan)
Udaipur (Rajasthan)
Ajmer (Rajasthan)
Goa
Mumbai
She visited some parts from South India as well. I don't remember what places she told. You can search for the tours.
Joining a group tour is not a good idea when you are going solo there.
Delhi, Agra and Jaipur are not far from each other. you can travel alone taking your time to each spot you like most.
and when its December and January, you must visit Mumbai and Goa also
And Jodhpur and Udaipur - all close to Jaipur and on the way to Mumbai. It's quite easy to buy tickets on night-buses between each destination a day or two in advance and probably even on the day of travel.
Delhi, Agra, Udaipur and Jaipur are must visit places.
for Cooking classes you will have to consult locals who are into catering or food business.
You can visit easily Agra, Jaipur, Delhi, Udaipur, Jodhpur. These places are the best historical places. And you can also enjoy Indian food. I hope you will enjoy in this places.
This is nice to hear that you are planning to visit India, as you know that Delhi, Jaipur and Agra are very famous places in India. Don't forget of GOA. Why don't you plan for motorcycle tour.
Hello all,
Thank you very much for the replies and advice. I think I will make it a mix of group and solo travel. I have done a bot more research and found a few tour packages of interest which cover most of places that I want to visit. If someone has any idea about how good are they or have any relevant information, I'll be really grateful.
I want to visit Jaipur and Agra for sure. I have spent some time in Delhi, but not as a traveler. I will have about 10 days not including flight times. Following are some of the group tour packages that I have shortlisted.

It seems interesting because of all the amazing Indian food and their food tours in Delhi, Jaipur have excellent reviews on Tipadvisor.

Shorter tour which will leave enough time for traveling on my own and big trusted company. Cheapest too.

Seems good and covers Pushkar which will probably be nice in December.

Covers Udaipur and Jodhpur too. Is it a good idea to see so many places in this time period ?
