Hello all. Thanks in advance for any replies. My girlfriend and I have 5-8 days in the islands with the first stop being Santorini (i hope). What other islands would you recommend day tripping or perhaps staying a night or two or more who knows. We don't want to be on very long ferry rides.

On most islands day tripping to others is not an option, this is why island hopping is a popular term lol
From Santorini you could get a regular ferry to Thirasia and that's it. Ferry schediules work that way that you could spend about 90 minutes to 2 hours on Ios too, but I do not see the point.
Spending a night or two I guess you could go to Ios, Naxos or Paros/Antiparos. I do not see much logic if your starting and ending point is Santorini. Lots of back-tracking. Maybe you could mention your specifics so we could lay a plan that makes sense?
