I had a look at Flight network & all of thier options went via USA,
Has one going via Sao Paulo & Toronto.
Takes a while & expensive
Trinidad - Panama - Rio
Maybe somewhere for you to look though.

Unfortunately the only other way is via the US.. Miami specifically.
I'd suggest that you keep checking the GOL flight.. maybe alter your dates, extend your stay etc..
It's unfortunate that it is this difficult to get between Brazil and the Caribbean...
