Heyyyy.. I'm heading out to Sydney next week on the 13th Jan, I think I'm going to head straight up to cairns & head down the east coast I want to do everything along the way!!! Has anyone ever been & could recommend anywhere to stay in cairns I'm pretty laid back & will go with the flow however, I feel I need a little plan & aim of where to go for when I arrive! Hi mate. I headed to cairns about 3 months ago and ended up staying in cairns now managing a great little hostel called the Flying Monkey. It's right in the esplanade which is in the heart of cairns right across from the lagoon. The hostels cool, not too busy, not too quiet and a really sociable feel. Plenty of chance to meet people to travel with etc. let me know if you're interested and enjoy your travels
