Couchsurfing is more about letting people sleep on your couch for free, not making money on the side.
Very true, but if you are the one who is renting your couch out, you can make some money on the side to save to fuel future trips
Is there a way to rent out couches on Couchsurfing though? As far as I'm aware it's just letting people stay for free in your house. The main thing you'd earn is kudos which can be used on future trips.
I was under the impression that you had to give the owner for the couch something for letting you crash for the night! My friend gave them cash, didnt really bring them a gift, but paid to stay a few nights.
