Solo or join group travel?

I'm debating if I should get my work and travel visa and fly to Australia on my own to find work and travel. Or should I join this group called. ALLIANCE GROUP ABROAD .. They cost 1500 and find you work for 6 months, this does not include visa or travel. Only a hostel stay for two days. I'm nervous to go on my own, but I'm not sure I want to work for them for the entire Six months. Help!

How much money will you make in exchange for the $1,500 fee? Is the employment guaranteed? What kind of work is offered? Where in Australia? Do they offer any other services in addition to the employment?

Read the fine print!

Cheers,
Terry

The employment is guaranteed. You must work for the entire 6months at their choice of employment. It's a hospitality job ( chef) ( kitchen work). Making $16.25 (usd). So for 6 months I'll work 32 hours minimum make about 12,000$ with a 4,000$ tax refund. It's a great group they Skype with you once you get here to make sure everything runs smoothly and also help find housing. I'm just debating If I want to work so much while I'm there and if I hate the job I lose my money. So I was just wondering if going on my own if I'd have a difficult time finding a job and a place to live. They suggested Melbourne for my work abroad.

Thanks so much!

Melbourne + hospitality = great idea. Spending $1500 on what essentially just sounds like a recruiter though....

Take a look at hospitality jobs on Seek.com.au and compare potential salaries, conditions, etc, and remember that $1500 recruiter fee could get you a month in a hostel.
