Hey up guys
I'am new on this forum as you may tell.
I've got my visa sorted, bank account sorted, and currently saving like a beaver in hibernation.
I'm absolutely buzzing to go!.
I'm heading to Christchurch, and may have work there through a friend of a friend in labouring, but it's not set in stone as of yet.
Hi there
I'm getting to Auckland in early June, on a year-long working holiday visa. I'm a city boy, so wouldn't mind some bar/restaurant work in Auckland, but would happily go and work pretty much anywhere in NZ. Ideally, I'd work from June until about January (although I don't think I can work for any one employer for more than 6 months), and then spend Feb - April travelling around. I'll give you a shout whenever I'm down Christchurch way.
Just out of interest, which bank have you gone with?
Have a great time.
Andrew
Hey dude!, with a working holiday visa, you can work with an employer upto 12 months, not six, you already got yer visa?
And I've gone with BNZ, they are very quick an reliable!.
I haven't totally made my mind up where am going, christchurch looks great but auckland and Wellington look more appealing, but I have average work lined up in christchurch doing labouring.
Pm me andrew, cos we are pretty going same time man!
All the best pal
Hi guys
I'm pretty much doing the same thing, heading to Christchurch at the end of June. I'm a scaffolder to trade and have a degree so trying to go down the skilled visa route. but if not will be going for the working holiday visa as I'm 30 and time is ticking for me lol.
Would like to here back from use.
cheers al
Hey up bud wish I was skilled, there's plenty of work for skilled guys!
Am just doing labouring, assisting the builders etc, am leaving just a wee bit after ye pal , you staying for the full year?
I am heading out early 2016 for a while! I have a working Visa to. Stay in touch, would be great to meet some travellers on the road.
Yeah bro!,mshame yer not going July tho lol, best of luck pal!
Yep it is a shame, a little early for me! I am starting with Ibiza, then Tomorrowland in Belgium, India, Thailand, China, Japan down to Aus and then NZ and onwards, not sure where after that!
You must have a lot of dollar save up?
Been planning and saving for 12 months, think I'll need most of it for that first part! I have had to save a lot.
