Budget Backpacking Advice

Hi,

It's not my idea of fun in any way, but if you're an experienced, frugal backpacker who requires no luxuries then it's certainly doable.

There are loads of websites like and that make research easy.

Have fun.

Cheers,
Terry

I know India is cheap but a £10/day budget? Sounds grim. Go for a shorter time AND scrape up some more money - live on beans on toast from now till you go if it means having a better budget when you're out there.

Grim is the perfect adjective. Possible, but holy cow not much fun at all in my opinion...

Cheers,
Terry

Cheap, but can end up averaging out a little bit more, since it's easy to spend more just to have a few creature comforts and because it is cheap you can start buying/paying for thing at liberty. A more comfortable standard of accommodation, especially in larger cities like Mumbai will greatly increase any budget.
