Hey, I'm travelling to Sydney at beginning of November 2015, just wondering if anyone has any advice for travelling round Australia, or where is best to look for farm jobs to extend visa!? Thanks
For farm jobs, check out the harvest guide on the to see where peak season is for different crops all around the country. (Get to places a bit before peak season, while they're still hiring people.)
Other than that, the general advice: Don't get stuck in the cities or at any one job for too long, save at least twice as much as you think you'll need because Australia is expensive and money goes fast while you're having fun, make an itinerary so when you just want to get out of a place and move on, you immediately know where to go to next - but other than that, treat it as more of a guideline, and be flexible with your plans. You'll have a better time following your whims and getting to know places you like in depth, than checking off must-see items from a checklist. Australia's too large to fully see in a year (or even two) anyway, so just enjoy the things you get to see to the fullest.
