Well, you'd struggle to get the best out of each location in such a short period of time :')
It would be possible to fly between each location, but you should also consider inter-railing, then you could get the train from london, through France and then to Italy and I'd imagine that it would cost less than flying.
If you fly, it won't matter what direction you go, however if you inter-rail it would most likely be easier to work your way down. But I'd recommend doing some research around those ideas.

Will definitely be complicated to explore all of these cities in 7 days but if you do not spend too much time in transport it's feasible to see most of the touristic places of each city.
The train from London to Paris is most of the time even quicker as you leave from central London and arrive in central Paris. If you want to fly from London to Paris, you will need probably to spend 2 hours in transfer services to & from the airport.
However, getting to Italy from France by train is quite long so might want to consider the plane to get to Italy.

In 7 days I would do only 2 amongst these 4 prestigeous cities ! In any case no more than 3!
As told above, prefer the train between London and Paris and the plane to go to Italy.

You have chosen a great group of cities to visit, but this is a lot to do in seven days. You might start at London and take a train to Paris. From there, you would be better considering a plane to Rome in order to save time. After Rome, a train to Florence, and then Venice would suffice. You might want to consider more time in order to enjoy these beautiful cities.

I can give you one recommendation if you want to split the tour. You could go by train from Florence to Paris. I have done that part myself a couple of years ago. Therefore I can only give you recommendations for this part.
Florence is certainly the city that stands like no other for the Italian savoir vivre. After your arrival at the station of Florence you refer best at the Hotel Palazzuolo -snip- It is centrally located and will cost you around 25 euros a night.
You can explore the city best on foot. Don´t miss to go over the famous Ponte Vecchio bridge which dates back to the time of the Medici. A visit to the Uffizi Gallery is an absolute must if you're like interested in the old Italy Siche master. Delicious sandwiches you get at All'Antico Vinaio near the Galileo Museum. A nice overview with further Muesums in town you will find here -snip- . You can also visit the L'Osteria di Giovanni, where you can get fresh fish and typical Italian dishes. While walking through the streets of Florence a cool ice cream tastes quite outstanding. The best ice cream in town you get in the cafe Vivoli.

How will you enjoy the beauty of those countries in such a short duration? If I were you I would have planned to visit one country, e.g. France and stay there for 7 days. In that way I would travel almost all the popular places in France and enjoyed them all.
