Any info on Tanzania...?

Hi there! I am very new to this site and I see that you are pretty new yourself.
Well I haven't really been anywhere outside South Africa, but I've seen some cool stuff on -snip-
There aren't really any images, just a bunch of ideas that could get your mind on a roll for some research.
Hope you find it useful.

there's the obvious attractrions of trekking Kilimanjaro and safari in the Serengeti. A visit to the Ngorongoro crater is a must - you can base yourself in Arusha for all these activities. We used a company called Nyika for our safari and our guide Adan was great. Zanzibar is worth a visit to. Lushoto is worth a day or 2 as well up in the Usumbara mountains - easy stop off on the way from Arusha to Dar Es Salaam.

Just a word of caution - you will get hassled a lot at bus stops, with people who don't work for the bus company trying to charge you for putting luggage in the hold - just tell them politely where to go. Tanzania is not too cheap as a tourist.

Hi,

Tanzania a warm and its people are polite and friendly too. There are many options to explore while in Tanzania like the safaris, trekking the kilimanjaro mountain, visiting the local homes. You can combine all these.

One thing for sure it that Tanzania you have to be ready to spend compared to Kenya.

We did a tour for both Kenya and Tanzania last year which lasted for 4 weeks since we also did trekking in Kilimanjaro. Go and enjoy .

Tanzania is a great choice. With 2 months free, have you considered doing some volunteer teaching in Tanzania and getting a chance to know the country as no tourist would? There are many options other than through the big international volunteering corporations that charge outrageous rates. You could easily have time to fit in a safari, Kilimanjaro climb and/or a Zanzibar beach holiday. Either way, I know that you will have a great trip. Safari njema.
