Im doing a 7 month working holiday in Canada starting May 2012.
Will be flying from NZ but im Australian looking to see if anyone else will be travelling to Canada then aswell!
I am hoping to be based in Calgary and travel around the rockies at some point.
Any travel tips/ideas are most welcome!

if you have 7 months I would recomend jsut taking your time and doing some hiking in kananaskis country. it is only about 45 min away from calgary and is spectacular.
if you want to see more then just western canada I would recomend going to Ottawa or Toronto airea in the fall. The leaves changing coulour is fantastic. as well it is more then worht it to visit a maple suggar farm.

I live in Calgary and its a wonderful place. I would suggest going to Banff. Its outside of Calgary about a hour drive, I believe. Banff is extremly beauitful durning winter and summer. I would suggest looking up picture on Google. Another place to go see is Waterton it is in Lethbridge. It very much outside of Calagary about 4 hour drive its worthwhile!I would suggest going there too. Should you go to Banff I would say that you should stop by Jasper its a very small town with allot of attraction. I assume you are a girl? So there are hot guys in Both Banff and Jasper if you are interested expecially Banff with allot of hot British male.
