Hi all! First time backpacker (But been on many holidays before) departing Ireland and heading to Thailand on the 13th Febuary for the month and then flying to Sydney Austrailia on a 1 year WHV. Looking to hook up with people in a similar position as me while i travel around. My plan is to go to a friends wedding in Koh Phanang on the 14th Febuary then make my way to Phucket after a little while... was thinking of going up into north Thailand as part of my journey before i leave for Sydney. When i arrive in Austrailia the plan is to work along the gold coast and experience the beautiful country. you should go to karon or kata beach instead of patong.
