Hiya I am Jen, and I have just finished a campervan conversion and am planning to go off round europe. I think I want to head down to bulgaria/romania. I heading off by myself, with just my dog, but want to meet as many poeple as possible. I am also looking for advice about some good places to free camp and meet people etc.

I don't know much about Bulgaria (except they have very nice mountain scenery, nice sea side resorts) but I can tell you about Romania.
I recently discovered a beautiful place for campers in a natural reserve. Try to google "Cheile Nerei" (http://travel.descopera.ro/6879491-Cheile-Nerei-a-un-colt-de-paradis-romanesc-FOTO). It is close to the western border so it my by a good starting point. Then, go to Transilvania, visit the medieval cities of Sibiu, Sighisoara, Brasov. Visit the countryside, taste the food. Close to Brasov you may visit the Dracula Castle and climb in the Carpathian Mountains. There are lots of beautiful places but I don't know exactly how much time you have.
