This is a genuine missing person post not spam.
I don't think it broke any rules.

Hello Georgie,

We do allow these types of posts and your link is just that of a picture of your son. I have removed the spam flag. I hope you hear from him soon.

Our members are very cautious about first time posters who also include a link. It is usually a sign of a spammer. But, having seen several similar posts over my 6 years as moderator, only 2 that I recall did not have a real outcome that a friend or family member did not post a result.

May your son call you soon and be found safe and sound.

Found him. How do I delete this post??

So glad he was found safe and sound!!! Was in a similar position years ago with my Dad -- he got caught up in a revolution -- and it took months before he got home. Was hoping you would have a good outcome!!!!!

What a relief!

you may edit your post and delete the text.

No, that functionality is only available for 1 hour after a post is made.
georgie: If you really want this entire thread to be deleted, you'll have to contact one of the moderators of this forum (through private message), Isadora or beerman.

Hi Georgie,

I understand you would like this thread removed because you have found your son. Either beerman or I can do that for you if that's really your preference. My personal recommendation would to let it stay on the forum.

Though there are only a few replies, it's usually because our members did not have helpful information and/or had not seen your son during their travels. I do know many people have read your request and will come back to see if there have been any results. Indeed there have - the best result possible - your son is no longer a missing person. Members will enjoy reading there has been a positive outcome.

Again, the choice is strictly yours. Either reply to this post or send a PM to me with your decision. Thank you.

Congratulations on locating Kane!! Most of the missing persons threads we see do not have happy endings. So, I think our members would like to read that this one can give them something to smile about.
