I have got my flight booked to Melbourne on 14th feb and get there 16th feb! have you gone for a starter package with a company to sort things like your bank account and tax file number? or u bravin it and just going for it?
regarding insurance i found mine on the english compare the market i hope that helps?

I got a tax number and bank account applied for but not heard anythong from tax number yet and not sure bout the bank account gonna wait till i get there before i get money transfered into the bank account i did it through sta stravel. OH cool thats where ill prob get myne from does it cover everything and if u dnt mind me asking how much did u roughly pay so i know i will be paying about the right amount! not long for either of us now! are you going alone or with a friend??
oh right the tax number and bank account should be cool then. Regarding the travel insurance, I bought one for around the world incase I go anywhere else for about £160 ish i think it was for the year. So thats okay. But it depends on the excess you dont mind paying on the policy really. No its not long at all, cant wait!!!! I am starting my adventure with a mate but we may seperate depending on differing plans. you?
Well yea apparantky I get the tax number about 10 days after I arrive! Where did u get yours from?? Have u payed money into the bank? I'm waiting till I get there and making sure my account is set up?? No all alone my mate bailed out really! Adventure in liking this word for this trip! What hostel u first booked into? oh right, my tax number will get sorted in the starter package so dont no anything about that yet. No money into bank yet as again sort it out via starter package when i get to Melbourne.
