chances of your schengen visa getting rej ?

cutegirl has indicated that this thread is about India

If you have a job now in India , it helps . So you need to provide appointment letter .

You must provide all hotel bookings of all the persons .

Better will be to get letters from all other friends who are going on the trip.

Required to submit your bank statement for last six months and details of property that your parents own .

Travel documents are must must. How you are travelling etc etc. preferably copy of tickets .

If you are studying again a letter from the institute will be required

You can propose that you will be ready to appear for personal appearance at the French embassy

Is this your first visit abroad ?

If you are a tax payer and have tax statements , that may help .

Cannot think of anything else , except you need plenty of good luck and good wishes

Everyone travels first time , sometime anyyway and it works .

All the Best

Ranjan Kar Bangalore

Hello Ranjankar,

Thanks for the info

This is my first visit to Europe.I have been to other Asian countries before

I would be submitting a copy of the below documents

-Return flight tickets of me and my friends
- Confirmed hotel bookings of me and my friends
- Appointment letter and leave approval letter from my company
- 3 months salalry slips
- Bank Statements for last 6 months
- Covering letter from me and my parents
- Form 16 of last 3 yrs and investment proofs

All the above should be good enough right ?

If I submit a letter from friends, wouldnt it go against me.?
The Consulate might feel that I am going to look for a job there and my friends in Europe can support me till I get a job there and thus reject my visa on that basis.

Will it look bad to submit documents more than necessary?

Hello,

What you said makes sense.

I thought since your friends are coming from UK and you are only asking for Schengen visa for travelling to France and Italy , then the doubt that you are trying to get a job in Schengen countries do not arise . Whatever .

Now a days there are no jobs available in Europe . And as you are doing a decent job in India , you do not need to go hunting for jobs anywhere , the guys in the embassies know that .Indians are travelling abroad in large numbers

Giving more documents to prove your bonafide in India and and to state that you will definitely return after your trip is not a negative point in any visa application process .

The documents you are planning to submit look pretty good to me .

Again , Good Luck .

Oh , one more point .

You need to prove how will you support your expenses during your visit abroad.

So you need to enclose a copy of your international debit or credit card .

Your latest bank statement needs to show enough fund is available in account .

Approx how much funds should be present in the bank account ?

Also I would be submitting copies of my friends passports just as their ID proofs to go along with their flight and hotel bookings

In 2009 my niece's application got rejected by the German embassy in Madras twice.
Though she had all the documents, ours were through.

If you have a friend who can vouch for you & send you a sponsorship letter that should do.

Else keep your fingers crossed.

Chak

My friends are from UK , so getting a sponsorship letter from them for France/Italy isnt really possible.

What was the reason ur niece's application got rejected ?

You need to have Rs 1 lakh and little plus in your latest account that you will submit along with application.

Every individual's application has different merit and hence judged differently . 2009 is different from 2012 .

Just apply with all info that you can provide . Sponsorship has no meaning from non resident of a country you plan to visit .

It will work

cool .. thx once again
