flying to melbourne in june. Is it hard to get work at that time of the year? also where's the best hostel to stay at? thankssss
I can recommend Greenhouse Backpackers - good location, friendly place to stay, and they have plenty of free/super cheap meals and activities going on throughout the week. They have a big noticeboard up in the common room where theres often job vacancy ads, or sometimes the hostel even gets calls from local businesses and will announce a job over the intercom, and if you're lucky enough to be round at the time you can go to reception and get details. Bar work/coffee shop kind of stuff is probably the easiest to come by in the CBD. If you don't have experience theres short training certificates you can do once you arrive. Of course there's other kinds of work going too, that was just what was most popular when I was there
Ah tanxs a mill. were a young group of girls so were looin for somewhere lively to stay. cafe/restaurant work would be perfect. il look into the greenhouse backpackers.thanks for the info
