Emirates has been advertising UK to Australia for £700-odd for about a month now.
In line with this: KLM has its world deal weeks until the 31st of January, with some pretty good deals to North America, Asia and South Africa mainly.
If flying from another city than Amsterdam, oddly enough prices are even lower!
