The East Coast States Kelantan,Trengganuhave beautiful beaches. 2 nights 3days package is around RM350/-Full board.Best time to go is between April to October.Transport Cost bus Coach is about RM50/-You can get good prices from AirAsia from Kuala Lumpur(the Capital)if you want to fly.You can surf the net easily.
For December I think it's best you travel to Penang & Pulau Langkawi.Good place for travellers.As for Hotels it's fairly cheap depending on you budget & convenience.In Kuala Lumpur let me know.I will take you around.
Food you won't have much problems cause.It's fairly price and varieties of choice you can choose.
