Hi

I can give a list of five things that you can do on a visit to Bangalore.

1) Take a tour of Lalbagh Botanical Garden
2) Go hiking at Nandi Hills
3) Visit Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace
4) Take a stroll at Cubbon Park
5) Swim at the Aquarium

There are other things also that you can do, but these are just a few.

Great plan of visiting Bangalore. It's a very nice place to visit. You can visit the attration sites like Shiva Temple, Maha Bodhi Society Temple, St. Mary's Basilica, Bangalore Palace etc. In outdoor activities you can go for climbing/bouldering, cycling, ultimate Frisbee, kayaking, go-karting, cave exploration, hiking and hill climbing. There are various hotels in Bangalore that provides you ith the help desk and lets you know about what fun activities you can do, which places you must visit etc.

Thanks much. I don't think I'll be up for hiking and the like, I'll be in the city itself the whole time I'm there. Is renting a cycle n moving around feasible there?

What are the activities in the city? I keep getting results for historical visits, but I'm more inclined to food and doing things there. Go-karting n frisbee sound more my type this visit. Are there any more you can suggest?

Will any hotel provide the info even I don't plan on staying there?

Hi

I guess you can get a cycle on rent. As for your stay in the city, bangalore has several night spots that you can go to, for that info i'l recommend that you ask your hotel.

The best advantage of a cycle in Bangalore is that you can easily navigate a jam packed road. But please do note that there are no dedicated bicycle tracks on Bangalore roads , lane driving is mostly not followed and vehicle driving (esp. buses, trucks and rickshaws) will appear rash for an outsider. In most areas of the city, due to flyover or underpass construction activities and heavy traffic, travelling by bicycle is not easy (except for a few posh localities or areas around important Govt buildings). That doesn't mean its impossible, but please be careful.

Aright, then I'll consider cycling around in the city. For a single female, how safe is the city? I've been told that Bangalore is not very safe. I want to move around there, probably by public transport, so with respect to thefts and harassment, how civilized is the city?
