So me and some of my mates are thinking about travelling around OZZ on motorbikes in about Feb/March 2014, I was just wondering if :1. anyone who has done this before has any tips or ideas?? 2. If anyone else is keen to come along and join in?(you'll need a bike) 3.How much the cost of fuel varys across the country? and 4. How long do you think it will take??
North-South on the east coast is OK but between east and west coast is not recommended. Very desolate to the point that if people break down they often leave their cars there as towing is too expensive over huge distances and few garages. Going to the centre is best avoided too.

How long it takes depends on what you want to see on the way.

Consider popping into Thailand on the way out or back. It breaks a very long plane journey and Thailand is cheap with good beaches.

Im thinking of buying a bike rather than renting coz im gunna be in ozz for two years, im in NZ at the moment but goin to ozz next month.
Do you think i should take an extra fuel can? how far apart are the gas stations down the east coast?
Also how much is an Australian WHV?
