Is BNBAIR.com a legit site to book from? I read positive and negative reviews about this site. I am willing to take a risk but want to get some feedback before I give this site a shot.
Hmm, that site is a translation site? So I'd say no on it being a good site for bookings (assuming you are talking travel bookings?)
I believe the OP must be referring to AIRBNB??? Airbnb is great - I've used it in Istanbul and Brooklyn, NY. It's more than legit, it's great. The nice thing is that you have to check references on both sides before booking - takes a few more minutes, but this way you're assured of a safer/better rental. I had one dispute with my host in Istanbul, and the Airbnb staff in San Francisco handled the whole affair with professionalism and speed.
(by the way, both shared apartments that I rented were wonderful and great values)
Woops. I meant ****AIRBNB.com***** I signed up last week to look for a place in Aruba and Curacao. I understand safety and security precautions for both owner and myself but when i started seeing personal security questions it scared the living crap out of me. I read a lot of negative reviews also thats why i wanted to ask everyone here. But thank you Daawgon for the response and details that puts me more at ease on it.
Hehehe, ah, in that case, yes, it is legit, though if you look hard enough you can always find complaints. I have several friends that have used it successfully, amongst others during the Olympics in London. There was a big case in the media a year or two ago about a place being trashed and the risk it brings along for owners, but they dealt with that pretty well I thought, and it's not really an issue from the renter's point of view.
