Oh something I should add - I am an NZ citizen (NZ passport), permanent resident in Australia for 14 years and I was hit with the good behaviour in Australia.
As NZ citizen you don't need visa for any European country.
There is not a single place where they will ask you whether you had criminal record or not.
It will look this way:
You're going to airlines, buying a ticket, provide your name, pay, you get the ticket.
You going to airport presenting documents, ticket, go inside plane.
You land somewhere in Europe, they will ask you to fill a form with your name, address home, your destination, duration and place where you gonna stay, you complete it, you present it with your passport to immigration officer, he stamps your passport and you are in the country.
I traveled to 100 different countries, and I left home to go around Europe probably another 200 times. That's what system is like. so you don't worry.
If you will want to apply for a visa to some country where you do need a visa, they will ask you if you had criminal records, just answer no, because if you will answer yes, there are good chances you will be rejected, if you answer no, they will never bother to check it, 1st of all because you are just a tourist, not any vip for them to initiate quite an tiresome procedure of investigating you, and imagine if you have to do it for everyone who applies for a visa.
And don't believe to things you see on TV
Thanks for the reply :D So its that easy? Even if I just wanted to go to the UK and Norway, went out and bought a ticket to the UK, traveled with my passport and luggage, I'd simply be 'stamped' through without issue?
And thats another reason why I saw an issue, I'd love to be able to put "NO" to a criminal record wherever I went but if by some chance they did check it'd probably be an instant denial of entry and sent back to Oz would it? Everything would be prepaid which is why I want to make sure everything goes smoothly.
That being said if I'm an NZ citizen/passport holder with a criminal record in 1 state in Australia, would it really even show up?

You are way, way over thinking this. Forget it ever happened. Wipe it from your memory banks. Don't waste one brain cell fixating on a non issue.
