Hay everyone.
Hey Liv! I'm planning on going to Oz (and NZ) for a year too; it's exciting, right?! I'll probably be going a couple of months later than you though as I'm traveling Europe first, but would still be cool to exchange ideas and see what the best way to work & travel around is. Lemmi know!

Hay Ollie.
Yup it is indeed, so much do plan though! ahhh.
Ahh cool, where abouts in Europe? Where are you from?
Sounds good to me
xoxox
Hey Liv,
I'm heading out at the end of Nov also on a working Visa! How excited are you?!?! Whereabouts are you flying too? Are you going alone?
I am going on my own and very scared but have travelled in the past so i'm sure all will be fine! I'm going to start in Melbourne and try and get some work around there, will settle for hospitality job but ideally i'd like to work in an office! I will probably go North to do my Harvest work around January so I can get my 2nd year.
Like you though this is just an idea in my head - no doubt it'll change haha!
Where are you from Liv :D xxx
If you are going for one years I think you have got plenty of time to see everything and i think its best time for your life to enjoy your life. Buy a travel guide. I preferred the South Island to the North..
I'll be going all over Europe really - trying to fit in as much as possible into 4-5 months. Most looking forward to Greece, Poland and Italy though. I'm from Norwich, UK - how about yourself?
In Aus I wanna see Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Cairns and Darwin. Do you guys think it's best to get a job for a longer period of time in one place, save the money then travel around and see everything. OR spend around a month in each, picking up jobs along the way and see stuff as I go? Really not sure of the best course of action!!
Olli,
Your trip sounds amazing!! Are you going to Holland?
I am going to stay in Melbourne for a long period of time I think; atleast 4 months as my friend is flying out to join me! I will work in Melbourne and save up til Christmas and NY which will be a trip to Bali and then onto Sydney for NY.. Then i'll do 3 months farm work, save save save, then travel! I would like to do all the East Coast; Melbs, Sydney, Brisbane, Cairnes, Byron Bay, Nimbin, Fraser Island, Darwin etc etc.. Have family in Perth so I will spend some time there too.
I am doing my farm work to obtain a second year visa, my second year I plan to probably pick my fave place and settle down, get an apartment etc. I picked Melbourne to start as I've heard amazing things; i'll be based in St Kilda which is like the backpackers HQ in Melbourne and easily accessible to get into the City

Hi Ellie
Ahh cool, yeah I am soooo excited! 120 Days and counting! Im going to India, and South East Asia for 10 weeks with my boyfriend, and then im flying to australia on my own on 17th November! So in Oz i'll be on my own! It is scary!
Im flying into Sydney and doing a weeks starter course type thing with STA travel.
Yeah I think i want to travel for a while before i find a job and then probably get a bar job or something! Yeah you'll just have to go with the flow, im sure it will be amazing whatever you do!
I live in Letchworth Garden City, its 30mins on the train from Central London, where abouts do you live?xxx

Hay Olli.
Ahh that sounds cool, iv'e never considered doing Europe in a backpacking sense but i bet theres some really amazing stuff to see! Cool im just 30mins South of London, a town called Letchworth.
Prettymuch same as me, my friend has just moved to Perth, and Darwin is meant to be the backpackers place to be!
I think its a case of literally not knowing until your there, as you never know who you'll meet or where they'll be going, as you may want to go with them or make plans. If youve got enough money to travel for a bit i'd maybe do that, i dont really think it matters how long you spend at one job, im not to sure how im gonna play it ill just have to wait and see!
xx
Ahhh that's so exciting! I just got back from 4 months in South East Asia your going to love it!
So scary but more exciting init!
Yeah sounds like a plan; my plans are constantly changing haha!
I live in Camden so not far from Central London
120 days!! wowwww! I think i'm on like 108 days or something I just reaaaally want to get into double digits haha xxxx
