Hi,
"... or just go to any attraction and then travel to another one not worrying about the distance in between?..."
The #1 mistake I've found that UKers make coming to North America is an inability to comprehend size/distances. The US is over 75 times larger than England... think about that for a minutes... for a first time traveller who has never been out of the UK that's an almost incomprehensible amount of geography.
Fortunately though every square centimetre of the US is covered in great detail by guidebooks, tourism websites, travel blogs etc. It's a VERY easy destination to research so it's not difficult to acquire a very good grasp of the attractions/logistics/etc. then you can come back with more specific questions.
Lastly, £4000 is not a lot of money is any 1st world, developed country - especially one where distances are vast and where the low budget backpacker infrastructure is thin. Investigate options like .
Have fun with your research.
Cheers,
Terry
Hi,
How about trying to see all of the sports, & plan your trip around that.
Their regular seasons are played at different time of the year so I would start by looking at the different sports seasons to get an idea of when you need to be somewhere. Set on a game or two for each & then plot your tour from town to town.
I would assume that playoff games are more expensive & harder to obtain & there are also pre-season games that might be the opposite.
If you get to Niagara, make sure you go on the Maid of the Mist - The most exciting thing to do in Canada.

No one can offer accurate advice when you give no clue regarding your citizenship or any details regarding when the assault happened or what was the result in terms of penalty.

All the best to you.

If this is a first visit to the States, I encourage you to start on the West Coast instead of New York, and I would also start in a smaller city (cheaper and more manageable/friendlier). I would also not worry about using your own car - just too expensive here. They have a few oriented towards foreign youth that might be of interest.
December is one of the worst times for travel here - weather and expense are the problems! I suggest Spring or Fall months instead.
