hi .. Or in FIJI BULA ...
first .. if you have not yet your ticket to fiji ... Have look on fiji airways every Friday from 6-00 p.m. to midnight (fiji time) there are a lot of 50 % off tickets..... otherwise you can have look on Jeststar or skyscanner ... you can landed in NADI or SUVA .. NADI is better but sometime SUVA is cheaper , ..... if you want go easy ...there are many hostel around NADI ,with free pick up at the airport ... ( BAMBOO is nice really basic 12FJD per night in dorm sometimes really busy ) mostly of this hostel are more interested to sell you your trip around FIJI ( they get good commission) so they keep their price really cheap ... just to have the opportunity to have you in the hostel. But you can handle by yourself and maybe save some money. You can go to the Yasawa islands (REALLY FAMOUS) , with the Yasawa flyer ( BULA PASS) just the boat and then book all the accommodation or reach Lautoka and take some private transfer to the Yasawa (NAQALIA LODGE ,WAYALAILAI RESORT etc)....is cheaper
Naqalia Lodge is one of my favorite ,,,, but we love go locals ... TRIPADVISOR can give to you some good idea... about the places ...
Or you can go to the Mamanucas ... mostly go to MANA ISLANDS .... 3/4 resort on the island... MANALAGOON RESORT is the cheaper one but the food is not that good RATUKINI is a little bit more expensive but everything is better ....
Or you can go to the northeast division ... BAMBOO has 3 more hostel in that division is nice ( TAVAIUNI, MAQAI , etc ) but a lot of rain ( TAVAIUNI IS THE GARDEN ISLAND :::: to be that green a lot of rain ) ....
IF YOU LAND IN suva (there is not much in Suva to see)you can sleep at the colonial lodge (the best place in SUVA) and take the bus to reach nadi is Around 20/25 FJD .....BETWEEN SUVA and Nadi there is the coral coast if you want to stop. there is a place call Mango bay (good) and if you are SCUBA DIVE LOVERS (BEGA island is the best sharks dive in the world ) ... for solo girl Fiji is really safe just don't walk in the night in SUVA , and everything will be good ....
Last (at the airport ) there are few travel agent like MARGARET , or SUNPACIFIC runned by locals sometime they can give to you some really good price ....but you must to know all the prices in advanced ... and bargain a little bit...
