Love that you're making it up as you go along – best way IMO. I'm in London for the next 10 days and still making it up! Glasgow/Edinburgh in Jan is the next part I need to think about. Any ideas about countries for your RTW?

I'm worried about making it up as I go along but at the same time you can choose wherever you want to go when you decide you want to!
I have a list of countries I'd like to visit for definite and I'll probably spend a lot of time in:
Thailand
Australia
New Zealand
Japan
India
There's so much to plan and it feels like it's catching up with me now. I don't think I can be too strict around it all otherwise I'll worry too much
I am so worried that I will not save enough money. I know I will save £15,000 before I go, will this be enough?! I want to work whilst I am travelling also.

There's a few plans in place over the next few months but I've been keeping it flexible so I can roll with new people I meet or new destinations I hear about.
£15,000 sounds like heaps and especially if you're working too. Have you already got working visas sorted? What kind of work will you do? I would say keep in mind that the Australian WHV is a once in a lifetime thing and IMO better not to waste on a short stay of only a few months, otherwise it sounds like a great trip. Japan is fantastic! Let me know if you need any tips, I've been there on at least 5 different occasions now.

Swanning around as you do haha! It must be great being a seasoned traveller and understanding everything. London is much colder than home! Want to swap? You can stay here and I'll go to Melbourne lol
I haven't booked anything yet I'm just about to start getting it all done when Christmas is finished. I will do any sort of work that is available to survive. I like the idea of working with the locals to learn how they live! My long term plan is to emigrate to Australia in a few years time to work out there doing my job that I have in the UK.
I have a few questions if you don't mind!

Not necessarily, I find I'm just more likely to roll with things now. You realise that you just have to do what you can with what you have and trust that everything will work out. And if not, ah well, that's part of the experience of travelling!

Yup. Each country has their own conditions for entry so I'm afraid there isn't a magical 'Traveller' entitlement, especially when it comes to work. Many countries will allow British passport holders to travel visa free for a certain amount of time but once you want to work in their country they get a bit more precious. Start with the travel advice link above to research your preferred destinations and their visa requirements. What is your job in the UK?
FYI New Zealand offers British passport holders a 2 year WHV at the time of application whereas you only get 1 year in Australia with the possibility to extend an extra year if you complete specified work in regional Australia.

I actually don't know, I'm sorry, I've never done a RTW flight These forums are a good start for tips/destinations and then check out ticket costs at places like STA Travel, etc. Others may have preferred companies they recommend.

For sure! It is the best thrill IMO – have a blast!
For RTW flights I think each of the airline networks - oneworld, skyteam and star alliance - has an online configurator to let you build your package.
It's a starting point, but then a lot of people would then talk to a specialist travel agent such as STA or Trailfinders or Travelbag. Can't hurt to visit them, they may be cheaper or give you options you hadn't considered.
hey I'm looking at Australia and New Zealand aswell but will be solo and the thought terrifies me too! lol
