I'm thinking of going to Ko Lanta for a couple of days and was wondering what sort of price range I'll be looking at for a cheap fan room/bungalow? Are there any places in the 300-400 Baht price range, or is that being a bit optimistic? Also, which are the nicest beaches, and which are the beaches which have the most cheap options for accomodation? Finally, how long would be a good length of time to stay, i.e. what activities are there to do while you're there?
off peak season for koh lanta would be may 2010 onward i think.
Last Sept 09 i am there, the air con room at a best bargain at 700 Baht with swimming pool facilities,
i think other seround area would be cheaper without swimming pool, anyway whole row of guest house and hotel is along the beaches, just go there and nego for a best price (i think more then 50 hotel available)
if you intend to stay at beach and have the beach activities, 3 to 4 days will be sufficient, eat and convinient store is available within few minute walking
Other sea activities will need extra few days to weeks at your wish, like diving, island hoping and serounding island such as Koh Pi pi etc
