I want to travel to the masai mara and explore the beautiful land sceneries and animals.I want to stay in lodges.Where can i get budget lodges and for how much?
The first question that i would ask would be how many days do you intend to be in maasai mara and whats your budget. I can then be able to direct you from there since if you are on a tight bugdet then you can go for a camping safari in case budget ain't an issue you can then go for the 5 star lodges
Hope that sheds some light
read your reply. i am planning to stay for a month in the area between kenya and tanzania.
- are all the recommended vaccinations (hepatitis A and B, rabies, malaria, etc) necessary or is there something in particular i should be vaccinated for which is usually enough?
- can you give me an idea about camping safaris?
- what if i want to rent a 4x4 and tour the area, how much can that cost per day?
cheers
Get your shots! If you find one for Malaria let me know: )
There are a million different companies selling camping safaris, some good some bad some are going to rob you. Go to Nairobi and stay in a place like the wildebeest camp (www.wildebeestcamp.com) - everyone knows that I don't recommend places I haven't stayed. Once there the owners will gladly link you up with others who have similar plans. I've recommended it to loads of people and NONE have been disappointed. I will stay there again in March despite having a budget that stretches beyond a tented camp.
No idea how much a 4x4 will cost you to rent but it won't be cheap. As I said, if you ask at the wildebeest they'll surely have some contacts for you.
Hope this helps.
thanks. appreciate it
