paying for rathambore tour by paypal

Is this legit? I have been givent the option of paying my deposit by bank transfer or asi would have prefered by credit card/paypal. However, when I clicked on the option for the latter, I got a little notice asking me was I sure i wanted to proceed as thei "could be a trick". Now I know the internet security can be very thorough but I hesitated.

What is the site you are booking on?

rathamborebagh.com - well they have given me an email address to use. But when I click on it the internet security is warning me cos the "site does not require authentication and may be trying to trick you" !

Or should I wait til I get to Delhi to try to book in person through a tour agency there? If so, I would be trying to book only 3days in advance. Is that a bit risky - it will be over new year's weekend.

I personally prefer to pay in person but was worried about arriving over and not getting on tour at such short notice.

? Your link didn't work for me, but this one does. I can't see anywhere to book online except . As you don't fill in any actual payment details there it should be ok. You can pay them via PayPal, which is pretty secure (they don't have access to your credit card details that way) and means you can reverse the charge pretty easily later on too.

But I might be looking at the wrong site/pages?

By the way, just to be clear, that warning doesn't sound positive. It shouldn't appear from opening an email address though, at least I can't think of any way it should. One thing you definitely should NOT do is send your credit card details via email. That's the least secure method you can think of for transmitting details like this.

To avoid any risk, and also any conning situation, better to book in person when you reach Delhi. I have had friend who paid first and endup with many issues.

thanks for the advice.
