Buying air tickets online or at airport?

Hi All,

Often cheaper to buy online, and at least you know there is a seat on the plane for you.

Yes, flights will be expensive with out of the way places like Paxse. It's only to major cities where a number of airlines fly that you get competition and cheaper prices. If you can afford it, you should take the flight. Any travel agents you can try?

It is wise to buy it online rather than to have it on the airport. It beats the hassle and at the same time more importantly it give you an advantage of getting it on a much cheaper price. The idea of getting a ticket before your departure date is that - the farther you get your ticket before your departure date the cheaper it is, now as it gets nearer to the departure date, the price goes higher by the day. An excellent idea would have to be to book your ticket a month before your expected date of departure. Hope this helps you a little. Have a nice day ahead of you.

Cheers

My experience is buying in airport is 3X higher than buying online.

Definitely buy it online, there's no way that buying at the airport would be cheaper than online. Have a good trip

Hi All,

First time in South West Asia and am on a bit of a tight time frame.

I hear from fellow travellers that (unilke the rest of the world) it is usually cheaper to buy plane tickets at the airport for a departure that day.
is this correct?

essentially i want to avoid a 30+ hour bus trip from hanoi to pakse in laos, and the flights just seem really expensive.

please give advice!!!

=)

Most likely cheaper to buy it online in 9/10 cases, wouldn't you rather have a ticket before hand than risk waiting at the airport for a flight that might be fully booked and at a price you might not want to pay.
