My wife and I are co-leaders for a Habitat for Humanity Global Village team - we'll be traveling to Bahir Dar this May to build homes with Habitat. I've never been to Ethiopia before and would appreciate any tips, especially about Bahir Dar and the Amhara region. What should we expect in terms of weather that time of year, restaurants/cultural attractions? We're especially interested any recommendations for a good way to visit and tour the monasteries at lake Tana. -snip-
