HOT and HUMID!!! I'll be home from SE Asia by the time you go, but I too can not wait to get done with work, and on the plane!
I hope it isn't too hot and humid! I hope you have a brilliant time, how long are you going for.
I will be in the gulf coast, thailand for a week, the andaman coast, thailand for a week, a few days in between in bangkok, and then bali for a week and singapore. I looked into the weather and it says the hottest areas are central/inland area with temps getting in the high 30s in some areas and high 20s by night. EW! But the hills in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam should be cooler, as well as the lower more coastal areas.

Your trip is going to be amazing that doesn't sound too good, the hottest I have been in so far are mid 30's and that with a backpack on your back was pretty unbearable, might have to stick to the coastal areas and the hills, going to have to have a look for weather sites I think!

Me and my boyfriend are going SE Asia for 3 months starting the 7th of June. We are flying to Bangkok we'll be there for a week and then we're making our way through Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and then down the West of Thailand to the South where we will island hop for a couple of weeks and we are going the Ko Pangan full moon party on the 13th August we will then be going through Malaysia, Singapore and over to Bali before continuing our travels- if you are in any of these places at the same time you are more than welcome to come around with us let me know your plan.

If you go to Indonesia dont just go to Bali, make sure you will at least visit the Gillis (just north-west from Lombok) and if you would like to really feel a little bit of exotic go to Flores... or Borneo. Indonesia is not only Bali!

I am in the same boat, I am planning a trip to SE Asia, I am going for 4 months (or so) but have not anything booked. I am planning the same time as yourself. I am still checking out places, so I have no specific places in mind, but judging by other posts, it looks like coastal areas are a must (thinking of backpacks!!). I am hoping to make my way to the full moon in Koh Pangan in July, other than that.... I'm easy.

Thanks for your posts. Terrie might just miss you as I am hoping to go mid June, so I think I will be doing the same route but just be slightly behind you, but will definitely let you know and hopefulyl we can meet up somewhere along the way.
Ker - yeh I think coastal areas are a must, I am hoping to book my flights in the next few days as they are on special offer at the moment. We should definitely try and meet up somewhere though,
