Hello, My family and I are planning a two week trip to Austria and Germany in July. We are 6 adults and two children ( ages 1 and 4) . We are flying in and out of Munich and will be driving during the entire trip. I have done some research and have come up with a rough itenirary. We very much interested in beatiful scenery ( mountains!!) as well as cities.
It looks quite doable, with possible time to shift ideas. A thing I could recommend is a visit to Neuschwanstein Castle, near Fussen (at the Austrian border), it looks a bit like the typical 'fairy tale' castle . It's about 120 km away from München.
It seems like a great trip!
