Thai Baht Denominations when making a withdrawal

Hello,

You can get thousand baht notes too.

Keep in mind that for most ATM have a 150 baht fee for any withdrawal. I usually get the most I can at one time so I don't waste big fees on small amounts. When you fly home you can change Thai baht over to your home currency at the airport 24 hours a day.

'Karazyal' makes a good point on fees. Check with your bank. Find out all the fees involved when withdrawing money while in Tland. They can add up quickly. If you withdraw 3,000 baht, you will usually get 3 1,000 baht notes. To get smaller notes, withdraw 2,900 instead. Good luck.

Although I have read that some ATMs can dispense other notes, the ones I have used only dispense either 500 or 1,000 baht notes.

AEON ATMs are the only ones that don't levy the 150 baht fee. Most tourists will waste this much one their first meal. Just make sure you withdraw a larger sum to make the fees less damaging.

The Thai limit is usually 20,000 baht per withdrawal. Your limit may be set by your bank.

Be sure to notify your bank that you will be traveling to Thailand so they don't lock your account because of "suspicious" activity.
