A friend and I are planning trip at the end of Oct/Beginning of November. Very early stages of planning but want to do Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, then head off to Oz and NZ. Looking at travelling for around 6 months.
What I'm not sure of is if this around the monsoon season round these Asian parts?? What would be our best route to avoid this?
I would prefer to do Asia before Oz because I don't want to blow all of my money in Oz and not make it to Asia.
If I'm in Asia for christmas/new year and suggestions where would be good to be at that time??
Also should we be looking at booking tickets about now or nearer the time??
any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you are in Vietnam for christmas, I think you would like to stay in HCM city. Some people also go to visit Dalat to enjoy the cool weather in there. So if you have any questions about Vietnam, then let me know.
