I'm looking at taking Megabus for a trip from Boston-NYC. I found a discount where you get 5% cash back on your trip purchase -snip-, and before I make my purchase I wanted to see if anyone has used this service before and what you thought of it? Any info would be helpful. Thank you!
I suggest you check out yelp for this purpose:

The general consensus is that megabus is cheap and will get you there, but expect at least a 2 to 3 hour delay on average and be sure to guard your possessions to avoid theft on board the busses.
To me, it doesn't sound like the most inviting way to get from place-to-place.
Enjoy
As long as you're not on a strict time schedule, megabus is a great value. I've used it a few times. Late? Yes. Once it was even early. I was never 2-3 hours late though. An hour max. Another time 20 minutes. I never got wifi, but others have. The bus is relatively nice. But I did have a ridiculously shaky bus once.
I remember sifting through the reviews and wondering whether to take it or not, but most of the bad reviews seem to be between NYC and DC or Baltimore I think. I'm glad I took it cause I plan trips with them all the time now. (TN to NY for 2 on $40? Can't beat it!) But definitely don't rely on the times or wifi!
Megabus is TOTALLY fine. I think they have wi-fi too. There is also Bolt Bus that I've taken a ton from NYC to DC and ti was great/had wi-fi
