It depends on your budget, actually. Metro Manila is a pretty huge place, and I don't recommend living in the suburbs because that would mean spending two hours or so every day traveling from your house to the office.
If you have a budget of 20,000 pesos or more, look for a condominium unit near your office. A budget of P10,000 per month would mean renting an apartment in a less than convenient yet still urban location. Best places for this would be the back roads of Makati City, anywhere in Pasig, Quezon, Taguig and Mandaluyong City.
