Im going to thailand on 31/01/12 i had planned to spend a week in thai doing voluntary work hhowever they have not confirmed and im getting worried now.I really want to volunteer somewhere in Thia/cambodia/vietnam pref with children.
You might try to contact the children's hospital run by the Sterling foundation in Siem Reap, Cambodia. I think they welcome even short term volunteers.
I have friends in Phnom Penh that help orphans and poor families. They can always use another person to help. No fees. Send me a PM for more info.
In Vietnam we always welcome volunteers, I would have 2 ideas, one is for teaching children in poor families in poor region of Vietnam English and the other one would be working in a restaurant which help/train orphans for catering services. Send me a message if you are interested.
What placement agency did you contact for your volunteer work? Do you know what you will be doing there?
