Costa Rica Attractions?

Hello All!

If you're into wildlife, get down to the Southern most part, to the Osa Peninsula. I went there in Feb 2010 and have thought about it every day since. We went for 3 weeks and spent our first 3 nights there. Everyone we met said we were going to the best place first, and they were right. The rest is brilliant but down there you meet a lot less tourists. You fly out to Puerto Jiminez, and from there you can trek through the jungle, which is truly the best thing I have ever done. If you want any more info, please ask. I can give you the name of a great guy who will sort you out with anything. He used to be in lonely planet, which is where we found him, but I'm not sure if he's in any more. He's an ex university professor livin out in CR and organisin tours, a great guy.

Within hours we saw a huge green turtle, water snakes, a baby green turtle makin its way to the sea for the first time, kawatis, ant eaters, a puma with its cub (very special to see those), makaws constantly flying overhead, a massive lizard of some sort. Spider, howler and capuchin monkeys, and so much more. it was magical.

If you happen to fly into Liberia (airport - Guanacaste), spend your days in Playa Tamarindo. Great beaches, great surfing, great fun!
