My dog breeding hobby as come to an end after 12 years and I would like to change my name to TeflonCDN. Is it possible to change your username in the system without creating a new account? Will all my posts and blogs etc., transfer to my new name?
You can't change it yourself, but yes, I do think it's possible for the admins to change your username for you. Don't hold me to it, though; there might be dependencies of things on username that'd make this non-trivial (for example, I imagine you wouldn't want your blog URL to change).
Actually, you can change it yourself. Just go to the page in Control Panel to do it. Your blog address will not be changed, though. If you'd like to change that as well, go to the page and select "Settings" for the blog you'd like to change.
Once you have changed your username, links to your public profile and photo gallery (and blogs, too, if you've changed that) will also be changed. This means in the near future, anyone clicking on an internet search link which points to your old username will not get to your site as the link is now broken. It'll take some time for the internet search engines to re-index their results to include the new links to your profile, photo gallery, etc.
